Is it possible to configure the system to take each node and render a sequence of individual frames per node, such as the old network render used to work, and have the frames exported to a shared folder?

In Getting started
so i was thinking that the crowd-render addon would handle sending texture files from one machine to the other, so its my first crowd render on 2.8 using the latest version of your clearly incredible addon, but it would seem that the node i have set up did not receive any of the texture files, does this mean i need to set up a shared folder on the network and re target all the texture files ? or does each machine need the same file paths ? also even though all the textures did not get copied over the render took about 3 minutes longer.
