Is there any way to distribute a render between machines to give each machine a complete frame to render, rather than all machines rendering a portion of each frame? I've noticed on simpler scenes, it's almost as quick rendering on one machine, as opposed to four due to the caching stage taking a high proportion of the overall render time. This would suggest that each machine starting a frame at the same time would reduce the render time by four, but rendering the same frame on each machine would reduce the render time by 10%. Does this apply more to single images, as the cache is reduced with an animation? Are there potential savings to be made in terms of time in simple scenes - for instance an animation with a Toon Shader? Are these type of animations best rendered just on one machine, rather than distributed? Thanks for your time.
Hi everyone and congratulations about this addon. I have 4 I7 2600 running with 16gb ram as nodes and another same as master. All with blender 2.8 and last version of CR. Th problem is when i open a small file like 10, 30 or 40 megabits CR works fine with all nodes, sync and render with all nodes. I have tried with some large files between 350 Mb and 1,3Gb and can,t get conected. I tried to open and save the file and reopen to try conect them witb no sucess. I also tryed to open this large files when they were all conected and sync but then they can,t conect neither sync. Hope you can help Thanks
Can anybody help with the installation step by step in blender 2.81? I downloaded the file and unzipped it in Blender Foundation/Scripts/ Addon. I tried to install first the py file. It doesn't show up in Edit/Preferences/ Add-On. Then I added the whole zipped file to the Scripts/Addon file and tried to install the whole thing using again Edit/Pref/Add-on/Install, no luck. What am I doing wrong? Which file has to be installed and from where? No dots in the file description or anything like it to prevent reading. Please help with the installation process. Thank you in advance.
